United Bank of Iowa

Our office has been a part of the Denison Community School District Business Partner Program for the past 10 years. Each year we partner up with a fifth grade class and teach those students about our business. In the fall, we go to the school classroom for a Q&A session. During that time, we discuss the six pillars of character (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship) and how those pillars of character are represented in our business. Then, in the spring we invite the students to our bank for a personal tour. It is always a joy to have the students here for a tour. The kids enjoy learning about the bank and they are always excited to see the drive up tubes, security cameras, and where we keep our money! Their faces are priceless when they see how small the cash safe is!

We were presented a plaque, as this is our 10th year being a business partner and educator for them.
