United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,103 to the Galva-Holstein Backpack Program. This program, managed by the Holstein United Methodist Church, serves students in TK-5th grade by discreetly distributing food to kids from homes experiencing food instability so that each student has something to eat during the weekend. The money for this donation was raised during United Bank of Iowa's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort.
United Bank of Iowa employees presenting the check are Pam Lukins, Brittany Boyle, Katie Downing, Ron Rice, Kallie Voge, Jullie Anderson, Melissa Freese and Taylor Volkert. Accepting the donation on behalf of the Galva-Holstein Backpack Program is Linda Mentzer, Vicki Larson, Bonnie Barkema, and Betty Kiboko.
